Today Gov. Kay Ivey issued her 20th supplemental emergency proclamation that contains an amended Safer at Home Order. The order has been extended until Friday, January 22, 2021, at 5 p.m. The statewide order continues to require individuals to wear a face mask or face covering when in public or when in close contact with individuals. Today Gov. Kay Ivey announced a $200 million grant program, Revive Plus. The grant program provides support to small businesses, non-profits and faith-based organizations that have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. These organizations with 50 or fewer employees could be awarded grants of up to $20,000. For complete details on Revive Plus, click here. The order addresses election workers, plus hospital and nursing home caretakers and visitors. The Safer at Home Order has been extended through Sunday, November 8, at 5 p.m. Individuals should continue to wear face coverings while in public and when in close contact with other people.

Beginning Tuesday, September 1, the city of Auburn will return to their regular enforcement of sign regulations. While businesses have had to change how they provide services to customers during the COVID-19 pandemic, businesses have placed signs within local rights of way. The city of Auburn has graciously been lenient in enforcing local sign regulations in support of local businesses.
