Beginning Tuesday, September 1, the city of Auburn will return to their regular enforcement of sign regulations.
While businesses have had to change how they provide services to customers during the COVID-19 pandemic, businesses have placed signs within local rights of way. The city of Auburn has graciously been lenient in enforcing local sign regulations in support of local businesses.
As time has passed, customers and businesses have learned new ways of operating, and because of this, the city of Auburn will return to regular enforcement of sign regulations on Tuesday, September 1.
Businesses should remove all non-compliant signs by Monday, August 31. To ensure signs are compliant and before removing or relocating signage, businesses should review the city’s sign regulations, which can be found here. Additionally, a list of prohibited signs can be found here.
