Community

Auburn boasts all the trappings of a bustling, progressive city mixed with all the allure of a charming college town – “home” to so many – students who decided to stay and raise families here, natives who would never think of leaving, and newcomers who happened upon our town and fell in love.

Auburn is known for its quaint downtown, award-winning restaurants and fantastic shopping, scenic parks, quiet neighborhoods, and top-rated schools. These qualities alone, however, do not make a community. Newcomers and natives alike sense a spirit in Auburn that’s difficult to articulate but impossible to ignore. That spirit is what makes Auburn unique and the “loveliest village on the plains.”

Welcome is the official community and relocation publication for Auburn and Auburn University.
