Gov. Ivey addressed the state this afternoon as the Safer at Home order once again has been amended. The new orders go into effect on Friday, May 22, at 5 p.m. and ends on Friday, July 3, at 5 p.m. For the full Safer at Home order, click here.

New updates include:

  • Entertainment venues (museums, movie theaters, bowling alleys and more) can open subject to social distancing and sanitation rules and guidelines. To view the guidelines for entertainment venues and tourist attractions, click here.
  • Child day care facilities can open (limit on number of children has been lifted) subject to social distancing and sanitation rules and guidelines. To view the guidelines for child day care facilities, click here.

  • Practice is allowed for athletic activities, but competition will not be allowed until Monday, June 15. These activities are subject to social distancing and sanitation rules and guidelines. To view the guidelines for adult and youth athletic activities, click here.
