Auburn Day School is Alabama’s first STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) preschool opening in early 2020 and operating as a drop-in, part-time day program for children ages 1-5. Auburn Day School's concept-based curriculum engages the youngest learners offering hands-on experiences in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, arts, and language.
STEM camps are also offered around holidays and during the summer for those ages 3-6. At Auburn Day School, children are challenged to make connections between their world and new understandings, to make comparisons, to reflect on their learning and to create new things. Auburn Day Schools promotes questions, focuses on the process and respects all opinions and ideas. The goal is to ensure that every child is joyfully gaining new knowledge, understandings, and skills each day.
Auburn Day School is looking for someone who is kind, thoughtful, energetic, willing to meet challenges, adaptable, hard-working and passionate about creating and implementing STEM, arts, and/or language curriculum for children ages 1-6.
