Jackson Thornton, a certified public accounting and consulting firm, is pleased to announce that William Sheffield has been named a principal in the Opelika office, located at 100 N. 9th Street.
Sheffield, a Certified Public Accountant since 2006, specializes in tax planning and consulting for individuals and closely held businesses. He earned his undergraduate and Master of Accountancy degrees from Auburn University. Sheffield holds professional membership in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants as well as the Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants. He is the current president of the Montgomery Auburn Club and has served on the junior executive board of the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts and the YMCA Boys Work Committee.
Christine Cook and Eden Thornton in the Montgomery office have also been named principals.
