Auburn Chamber Taking Nominations for the Best of Small Business

Every year since 1963, the president has issued a proclamation announcing National Small Business Week, which recognizes the critical contributions of America’s entrepreneurs and small business owners. Leading up to National Small Business Week, designated as April 30-May 6, the Auburn Chamber will be taking nominations to recognize the Best of Small Business in Auburn.

The community is invited to submit nominations for businesses in four different categories: Emerging (operating less than 5 years), 1-10 employees, 11-50 employees and 51-100 employees. The business chosen in each category will be nominated for the Small Business Awards of Alabama, to be presented by the Chamber of Commerce Association of Alabama this fall. Last year’s Auburn Chamber Best of Small Business honoree, Spicer’s Music, was also chosen as the Emerging Small Business winner at the state level.

Award nominations are due by May 5 and should be emailed to Anna Hovey at Ideal candidates are involved in the community and offer exceptional customer service and a knowledgeable staff. These awards are sponsored by AuburnBank, Machen McChesney, River Bank and Trust, and Barfield, Murphy, Shank & Smith.
