Home Sweet Auburn, held in partnership with the Office of Parent and Family Programs, Welcome Week staff and the Student Government Association, is the perfect opportunity for member restaurants to showcase their offerings. The outdoor tasting event is held on the lawn of the Auburn University Student Center and incoming freshman and their parents are invited to enjoy samples at each vendor. This event occurs on move-in day for fall semester.
From startups to the seasoned businessperson attempting a new venture, this workshop will offer a variety of helpful information. Panelists will offer testimonials and allow time for questions, and experts will offer advice on business operations, human resources, marketing, etc. Roundtable discussions will encourage brainstorming and creative thinking. This workshop will include lunch as well.
Marketing Boot Camp is an opportunity for members to learn from the best marketing minds in the area. The half-day seminar is made up of individual sessions presented by different speakers. Participants may attend individual sessions or stay for the entire seminar.
Organizations of all sizes will benefit from experts who will address all facets of nonprofit management, including fundraising, accounting, liability, marketing and volunteer management. This event will include lunch.
During the month of May, the Auburn Chamber will take nominations and then honor one small business with the Best of Small Business Award.
A reception is held each spring and fall to welcome new members and introduce them to staff, board members and other new members.
Business After Hours is an opportunity for Auburn Chamber members to network in a relaxed environment while showcasing or introducing the host business.
All Business After Hours hosts must use a chamber member for any food, beverage and/or rental services. A list of member caterers, restaurants and rental services is available.
Leads to Business is the Auburn Chamber’s only event dedicated to networking. This event allows each participant a limited amount of time to introduce his/her business and share business cards and other literature. Leads to Business occurs bi-monthly. Space is limited (reservations are required).
This program will recognize a member business or individual who displays excellent customer service. A trophy in the form of a crown will be presented to the winner each quarter.
The Auburn Chamber partners with the city of Auburn to present a reception to attendees of the Veterans Day Memorial Ceremony. Guests are invited to the chamber building for refreshments following the ceremony.
To show special appreciation for to the Auburn Public Safety Department for keeping our homes and businesses safe and making Auburn a better place to live, work and play, the Auburn Chamber will host a meal for them during Thanksgiving.
A featured speaker presents relevant, timely information to the Auburn Chamber membership. Speakers are either local community leaders or speakers invited to specifically address a topic affecting the Auburn business community.
This event allows for an abbreviated business seminar that is completed over the lunch hour. A featured speaker will explore a timely, relevant business topic. Lunch is provided. Cost for each participant is $10 and includes lunch.
