The Cary Center and the Community Foundation of East Alabama to Provide Training for
Area Nonprofits
AUBURN, AL (January 23, 2023)
The Auburn University College of Human Sciences’ Cary Center for the Advancement of
Philanthropy and Nonprofit Studies is partnering with the Community Foundation of East
Alabama to present a day of training for nonprofits in East Alabama. The program, titled “Grow
Your Nonprofit: Resources to Maximize Impact”, will take place on Wednesday, February 8,
2023, from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm CST at the Opelika Public Library (1100 Glenn Street) and will
include sessions on starting a nonprofit, nonprofit accounting basics, and strategic planning
followed by a networking luncheon (lunch is provided). Registration is required and is $10 and
can be made at aub.ie/CaryCenterCC.

The Cary Center for the Advancement of Philanthropy and Nonprofit Studies is an academic
center in Auburn University’s College of Human Sciences with a focus on financial wellness,
philanthropy engagement, and nonprofit studies. The Cary Center inspires its participants
to discover their purpose through learning, giving, and growing while empowering all
generations to leave an enduring legacy. The Community and Collegiate division of the Cary
Center provides capacity-building resources to nonprofits to include educational programming,
professional development, and networking.
