The Hotel at Auburn University, an Ithaka Hospitality Partners property, has achieved the Health Security Verified Certificate from Sharecare, touting proactive and reactive activities required to minimize the risk and impact of acute public health events like COVID-19.

The Sharecare Health Security certificate is given in recognition of the culture of accountability embodied by The Hotel at Auburn University and its team members, contractors and customers. Sharecare provides this certification to hospitality organizations nationwide, however, The Hotel at Auburn University was part of a small group of hotels globally that participated in the organization’s beta testing of the certification, showcasing the organization’s commitment to health and safety protocols. This certificate is set to become the standard for all Forbes-rated properties

As part of the certification, The Hotel at Auburn University underwent stringent protocol reviews for the following departments: administration, housekeeping, food & beverage, human resources, sales & marketing, engineering, front desk, valet parking and culinary operations. The certification includes the attestation of adherence to relevant hygiene and disinfection guidelines, physical markings for social distancing and safety of buildings.

Additionally, as an added safety measure, every employee of The Hotel at Auburn University must use a QR code to answer health screening questions prior to entering the building each day.

“The health and safety of our guests, team members and contractors is our highest priority,” Hans van der Reijden, Ithaka Hospitality Partners Founder and CEO, said. “Achieving this verified certification was an important step in providing the safest environment possible for everyone who enters our doors.”
